Whether you decide to make this heart with Mom for Mother's Day or gift this glass heart to her, (just like you made her things when you were a child!) this handcrafted masterpiece will radiate love and meaning for years to come.

This specialty class includes some added perks as well!  This year we have partnered with Ford's Garage, a signature classic restaurant, that will be giving all ticket holders a unique discount for the Month of May to use and enjoy.

Also included for all ticket holders is a specialty tea blend from our friends at Tea Haus in Ann Arbor, a sticker, and a few other mini surprises you won't want to miss!

Let the Glass Academy lead the way to a delightful afternoon full of unexpected surprises, shared with others, in a safe and guided glass blowing class.

With our expert instructors, you'll melt colorful glass fragments of your desired preference into a gather of molten glass. Then, after melting in the colors, you'll meticulously mold and shape the glass into the heart shape.

Your fellow participants will cheer you on as the hearts are made one by one, with attention to detail and style, while everyone watches and take pictures.  Intimidated by the process?  Don't be!  These classes are designed for YOUR success!  We supply all the tools and techniques, and all you need is your colorful imagination and a willingness to try!

You will make one heart per ticket purchased. If you would like to make more than one heart, you are welcome to purchase an additional ticket!  Spaces are limited so be sure to snag your space before they sell out.

Bringing a guest? We offer a $12 guest ticket which must be purchased if you'd like to bring someone to watch your class from the "audience."  Everyone in attendance MUST purchase either a class ticket or a guest ticket. This allows us to prepare the space accordingly. When purchasing a guest ticket, please put the desired class date and time in the notes.  This guest will accompany you on the studio tour, watch the demonstrations, be allowed on the hot shop floor to take images, and will also be eligible for the 20% gallery shopping discount the day of the class.

YOUR CLASS TICKET PURCHASE INCLUDES...

• The materials, tools, and instruction to make ONE heart per class ticket. 
• A live glassblowing demonstration from one of our class instructors. 
• A behind-the-scenes tour of our glass studio and BATCH Gallery, where you’ll learn more about our successful working art studio and the glass-making process.
• A coupon for 20% off all items in our gallery. This coupon can only be used on the day of your class or the day when you pick up your class product (if you choose to pick up your finished product in-person).

RULES & WHAT TO EXPECT

• You must be at least 16 years old to participate in our classes. However, those under 16 years old are welcome to purchase a guest ticket and watch the class.
• Closed-toed shoes are required and we suggest that you wear cotton, as it will be hot in the shop.
• Please arrive 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork, meet the other students, and browse the gallery.
• Classes are typically 1 to 1.5 hours long. However, the duration may vary depending on the intensity of the project and class size.
• This is an entry-level class. No prior experience is necessary!
• Before you can take your beautiful glass creation home, it must cool from 1200°F to room temperature. Once completely cooled, your glass keepsake is ready for pickup from our studio OR we offer free shipping directly to your home if you live in the United States.
